Bonn – The year 2017 started exceptionally well for the global strategy and marketing consultancy Simon-Kucher & Partners. Just six weeks into the year, staff numbers surpassed the 1,000 mark.
Since its foundation in 1985, Simon-Kucher has grown on average by approximately 15 to 20 percent annually – much stronger than the entire consulting market worldwide. At the start of 2011, Simon-Kucher employed approximately 500 employees. Now, a good six years later, they have already doubled this figure. And this growth is set to continue. “For the first 1,000 employees, it took us 32 years. We are planning for another 1,000 within the next five to six years. That’s 2,000 employees by 2023”, explains CEO Dr. Georg Tacke. This year, Simon-Kucher aims to hire an additional 200 employees for its international team.
The consultancy considers their clear specialization and expertise in pricing, marketing, and sales as the reason for their rapid growth. Particularly due to the current age of digitalization, and the increased innovative and competitive pressure it brings, these topics are in demand like never before.
