Tunc leads the financial services and fintech practice as a Partner at Simon-Kucher’s Istanbul office.
Tunc is a seasoned financial services and consulting professional with international experience across Turkey, the USA, EMEA, and Asia—both as a C-level banking executive and a consulting partner to global and local clients. He began his career at Capital One in the U.S. and later held senior roles at QNB Finansbank as Group Head of Retail Banking and Payment Systems, and at Akbank as Chief Strategy Officer, leading strategy, CRM, product development, and digital transformation.
In consulting, Tunc held roles at McKinsey & Company as a senior consultant and engagement manager, and later served as Managing Partner for Financial Services at Peppers & Rogers Group in EMEA. He went on to become Group CEO of a global financial services company operating in 18 countries, followed by a CEO role at a digital tech firm delivering transformation projects for Fortune 500 clients. Most recently, before joining Simon-Kucher in April 2025, he advised a Turkish neobank on product, growth, marketing, operations, and international expansion.
Tunc holds a BSc in Industrial Engineering from Bogazici University, an MSc in Management Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech, and an executive certificate in Business Model Innovation from Wharton Business School.
