Michael Kaesser is a Partner in the global Energy Practice with a focus on the DACH and EMEA markets. He has more than 17 years of experience in the realignment of energy suppliers, particularly in the area of competitive business and renewable generation. He has successfully designed and implemented growth strategies, performance optimizations, and transformations for numerous leading utilities.
Amid the fundamental changes in the global energy industry, Michael and his Simon-Kucher team focus on several strategic business priorities. These include developing reimagined business strategies and designing innovative business models, both within and beyond existing energy product worlds. He has also spearheaded projects focused on optimizing digital/data-based sales and service models, substantially improving customer value as well implementing and optimizing organizational performance. In a global context, Michael is responsible for the development of sustainable generation strategies and optimized portfolio strategies.
Prior to joining Simon-Kucher, Michael was Vice President at Capgemini Invent and Partner at Konexus Consulting, focusing on optimizing brand and customer experiences in the energy industry in the DACH region.
