Simon-Kucher, a global consulting firm, has published its annual Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report for 2023, highlighting its ongoing dedication to ESG across its operations. The report outlines Simon-Kucher's ESG strategy, progress, and initiatives in environmental, social, and corporate governance domains, setting a clear path for sustainable corporate growth.

Key achievements highlighted in the report include:
Environmental:
- Monitoring greenhouse gas emissions to achieve reduction targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative.
- Recognition for global travel guidelines by the Travel Smart campaign.
- Aim to source100 percent renewable electricity for all offices by 2030, with 44 percent already sourced from renewables in 2023.
- Revision of global office sustainability standards and inclusion of a sustainable office checklist.
- Bringing ESG to Simon-Kucher’s core business by unlocking and maximizing our clients’ sustainable growth potential.
Social:
- Over 40 percent of total headcount are women, and the DE&I strategy focuses on promoting leadership diversity, including efforts to increase women Partners.
- Globally, employees spent a total of 35,300 hours on training.
- Active engagement in DE&I initiatives, involving more than 450 employees in 2023.
- Encouragement of pro bono consulting projects and startup mentoring, totaling more than 260 workdays in 2023.
- Local offices supported more than 20 volunteering and fundraising initiatives worldwide.
Governance:
- Launch of a new compliance framework, including revised codes of conduct, policies, and whistleblower tool.
- Initiation of ISO 27001 certification process.
In preparation for the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), Simon-Kucher is gearing up to comply with evolving standards for sustainability disclosures.
