Tobias is a Partner and Head of the Transaction Services team in Central Europe and Northern Europe at Simon-Kucher. He is also the Head of Simon-Kucher’s Berlin office.
Tobias has over 10 years of experience in M&A, commercial value creation and corporate strategy. He works with Private Equity firms and strategic investors across target industries, having a special interest in Industrial Goods and Business Services, as well as Tech and Software deals.
His project work is focused on:
- transaction support (buy- and sell-side, CDD, target search), having supported 100+ transactions
- commercial value creation (incl. 100 days planning, program management)
- corporate strategy (strategic planning, technology portfolio, geographic expansion, top-line push)
Tobias has worked in many countries of the EU, in the US, the UK, China and Brazil. Prior to joining the company, he served as a partner at a large consulting firm, where he advised PE investors in D-A-CH countries.
Tobias holds a Master in European Business from ESCP Europe (Berlin and London), as well as an LLB from Bucerius Law School (Hamburg and New York). He is co-author of numerous PE-focused publications, often delivered in cooperation with leading scientific institutions and cited in major news media. Current focus of his work is to optimize commercial value creation success by enabling the definition of a target-specific strategy during the due diligence phase.
Tobias is also a successful startup entrepreneur with an avid interest in PE climate-impact investing.
